Master account management

Understand how to manage your master account including adding, editing, and deleting them.
First, follow these steps to access the Account Management page.
  1. From the Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications dashboard, click the hamburger menu on the left side. of the page.
  2. Select
    Admin
  3. Select
    Provider Account
    ; you will be redirected to the
    Account Management
    page.

Adding a master account

To add a master account:
  1. Click the
    Master Accounts
    tab.
  2. Click
    New Master Account
    in the upper-right corner.
  3. On the New Master Account page, select a provider and fill in all required fields. Required fields are marked with an asterisk.
  4. Set the account to Active or Inactive by clicking the Status toggle.
  5. Click
    Create Account
    in the upper-right corner.

Failed validation

If any failed validations display, choose either
Save
or
Cancel
.
  • Clicking
    Save
    saves your work. A message displays the success or failure of your work.
  • Clicking
    Cancel
    returns you to the previous screen without saving.
On the New Master Account page, click
View
underneath
Last Validation Results
. The
Validation Results
window displays the validation errors for you to review. This occurs at the end of most of the activities associated with master account functions, such as editing or adding master accounts and credentials and creating a new credential.

Editing a master account, and adding and editing master account credentials

To edit a master account, or add and edit credentials in a master account:
  1. Click the Master Accounts tab. The master accounts list displays.
  2. Click the
    overflow menu
    next to the master account line you want to modify.
  3. Select
    View Details
    . The master account details page displays account details. Here you can perform one of the following:

Editing a master account

To edit a master account:
  1. On the master account details page, click
    Edit
    .
  2. To change the status of the master account, click the Status toggle to set it to the appropriate activity status.
  3. Make any other needed changes, and then click
    Update
    .

Creating a new credential under master accounts

To create a new credential in a master account:
  1. On the master account details page, scroll to the
    Credentials
    section, and click
    Add Credential
    .
  2. On the Add Credential page, fill in the fields and select from dropdown lists. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. The fields that display on this page vary by service provider.
  3. Set the credential status by clicking the Status toggle.
  4. On this page, you can add a credential (which comes from the service provider) and associate this credential with a business entity, and then selecting an organization from the dropdown list.
    Also on this page, you can update or create a new credential in your vault. The access type is specified as part of the vault configuration in Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications. It applies to all users and is not role dependent.
    At this time, you can associate the credential with a business entity by selecting the Associate checkbox and any corresponding dropdown entities and values.
  5. Click
    Add
    .
    Credentials can be read only or read/write. Read/write access is indicated by a checkbox for "Create New or Update Credential in Vault." Users with read only access can enter a Credential Reference ID that corresponds with a credential that is stored in the vault.

Editing master account credentials

To edit master account credentials:
  1. On the master account details page, scroll to the
    Credentials
    section, and click the
    overflow menu
    next to the account you want to alter, and select
    View Details
    from the dropdown list.
  2. On the credential page, click
    Edit
    at the bottom of the section.
  3. Make any desired changes to the credential, and then click
    Update
    at the bottom of the section.

Editing, adding, and creating new asset accounts in a master account

To edit an asset account and to add and create new asset accounts for a master account:
  1. Click the Master Accounts tab. The master accounts list displays.
  2. Click the
    overflow menu
    next to the master account line you want to modify.
  3. Select
    View Details
    . The master account details page displays details for you to view. Here, you can perform one of the following:

Editing asset accounts associated with a master account

To edit associated asset account details:
  1. On the master account details page, scroll to the
    Asset Accounts
    section, click the
    overflow menu
    next to the asset account you want to alter, and select
    View Details
    .
  2. On the Account Details page, click
    Edit
    .
  3. Make any desired changes to the asset details, and then click
    Update
    .

Adding a new asset account to a master account

To add a new asset account to a master account:
  1. On the master account details page, scroll to the
    Asset Accounts
    section, click
    Add New +
    .
  2. On the New Asset Account page, add account details. Required fields are marked with an asterisk.
  3. Set the account to Active or Inactive by clicking the Status toggle.
  4. Click
    Create Account
    .

Adding an existing asset account to a master account

To add an existing asset account to a master account:
  1. On the master account details page, scroll to the
    Asset Accounts
    section, click
    Add Existing
    .
  2. On the Add Existing Asset Account page, click to select the desired asset accounts in the list.
  3. Click
    Add
    , or click
    Cancel
    to leave the page without saving changes.
  4. If the Attention window displays, the selected asset accounts are associated with other master accounts. Click
    Add
    to continue, or click
    Cancel
    to cancel the operation without saving changes. A message displays the success or failure of your addition.
    Associating selected asset account(s) to the open master account will delink the asset account(s) from any other master accounts that they may currently be associated with.

Deleting master accounts

You can delete one or more master accounts by choosing from the following:

Deleting a single master account

To delete a master account:
  1. Click the Master Accounts tab. The master accounts list displays.
  2. Click the
    overflow menu
    next to the master account line you want to delete, and then select
    Delete
    .
  3. Confirm the deletion. A message displays the success or failure of your deletion.

Deleting multiple master accounts

To delete multiple master accounts:
  1. Click the Master Accounts tab. The master accounts list displays.
  2. Select the checkbox next to each of the master accounts that you want to delete. The
    Delete
    button appears at the top of the list.
  3. Click
    Delete
    .
  4. Confirm the deletion. A message displays the success or failure of your deletion. A message displays the success or failure of your deletions.

Deleting all master accounts

To delete all master accounts:
  1. Click the Master Accounts tab. The master accounts list displays.
  2. Select the checkbox at the top of the list next to the
    Name
    column. The
    Delete
    button appears at the top of the list.
  3. Click
    Delete
    .
  4. Confirm the deletion. A message displays the success or failure of your deletion. A message displays the success or failure of your deletions.
