Organizations management

Understand the concept of an organization, which is a Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications construct to associate a group of teams.

What is an organization?

Organizations help you centrally govern your environments as needed. Whether you are a growing startup or a large enterprise, Organizations help you to programmatically create new teams and allocate resources, simplify governance over billing creating budgets, creating Master Accounts to organize your workflows, and apply policies for governance.
Organizations enable the following capabilities:
  • Creation of several Organizations in one single Platform.
  • Hold Cloud Provider Asset Accounts and Master Accounts.
  • Group one or several teams.

Organizations tab

In the
Organizations
 tab, authorized users can set up organizations to group things together into logical units. The Organization construct in the Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications is at the top layer of everything.
To access the Organizations page, follow these steps:
  1. From the Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications dashboard, click the Main menu on the left side, and select
    User Access
    ; you will be redirected to the User Access Management page.
  2. Select the
    Organizations
     tab.
You can perform the following tasks through the Organizations tab:
  • Set up an organization
  • Edit an organization
  • Delete an organization

Set up an organization

  1. Click
    Organization +
    .
  2. On the
    New Organization
     page, enter the following basic organization details:
    a. Organization ID
    b. Organization name
    c. Description
    Status must be set to Active to onboard the new Organization.
  3. Click
    Create
    . A message displays the operation status of Success or Failure. The new organization displays in the list.

Edit an organization

  1. Click the
    Actions menu
     at the end of the row you want to edit.
  2. Select
    View Details
    . The Organization details page displays.
  3. Make any desired changes.
  4. Click
    Update
     to save your changes.

Delete an organization

  1. Click the
    Actions menu
     at the end of the row of the organization you want to delete.
  2. Select
    Delete
    .
  3. Confirm that you want to delete the organization.
