This integration is designed to make your life easier by reducing the cost and time associated with onboarding Oracle Cloud services. You'll benefit from improved data ingestion and normalization, leading to a more comprehensive understanding of IT spending across various cloud providers and business operations. Additionally, this update focuses on Oracle Cloud Asset Metric Extraction and the incorporation of Oracle Cloud Provider Generated Recommendations, providing you with a more efficient and user-centric solution for managing cloud costs.
Oracle Cloud Integration Cost extraction
Oracle Cloud Integration into CAM is a significant advancement meticulously tailored to simplify and enhance cost and asset data extraction. To use this feature, you need to:
  1. Active usage of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
  2. Proper IAM policy settings in Oracle Cloud
    For Generated recommendation: Allow group OptimizerAdmins to manage optimizer-api-family in tenancy. Visit Cloud Advisory Overview for more details.
  3. Have appropriate user permissions in CAM.

As a Kyndryl Cost and Asset Management (CAM) application user, you can directly integrate Oracle Cloud Integration-generated recommendations into your asset management workflow. This feature automates the extraction of cost-related recommendations, providing you with actionable insights directly within the Insights dashboard of the CAM application.
In the CAM Insights Dashboard, you can view Oracle Cloud Integration-generated recommendations, which offer practical suggestions for cost savings and efficiency improvements. The Recommendation History Overview panel provides a summary, including new recommendations and a count of opportunities realized or unrealized, along with the savings achieved. Moreover, detailed trend graphs visually represent your estimated savings over time.
The integration focuses on Oracle Cloud Advisor’s cost-saving recommendations, allowing you to access automated insights for better financial management of your cloud resources. This data will be presented in an easily digestible format within the Insights dashboard, which is dedicated to cost recommendations.
