Organize and manage resources into tags across different cloud providers by tagging them in bulk.
Remediate service provider tags provide an interface to assign user-defined metadata to each resource in the form of tags. It allows you to create and apply service provider tags on a set of assets and update and delete provider tags without the need to navigate any service provider console, making it easier to manage your assets and classify your data.
Remediate Service Provider Tags utilities
The Remediate Service Provider Tags feature is located under the CAM drop-down menu on the left side of your Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications Dashboard.
The Remediate Service Provider Tags main window Provides you with two tabs to select from:
Service Provider Tags
section and
Services
section.
Provider tags section
The provider tags section allows you to organize and manage your tags, including editing and deleting them from your lists of provider tags.
Editing or removing tags in Bulk
On the Provider Tags section, you can select multiple tags at once and edit or remove them from specific provider data.
Follow the steps to do so:
select the
Provider name
from the Provider Drop-Down menu and the
Asset Account Name
or names from the Asset Account Drop-Down menu and click
Get Tags
. The page will respond by displaying all the tags corresponding to the specific provider and asset account name previously selected.
If you want to view one specific tag key or tag value, go to the drop-down menu located next to the search bar and choose the view between
All Columns
,
Tag key
and
Tag value
.
Then, type the Tag Key or Tag Value on the search bar and hit the Return button on your keyboard.
To
edit
, select one or more values from the list by clicking the
check box
on the left side of the screen, next to the Tag Key and click
Edit
, on the left side of the blue bar located at the top of the list.
A window will appear with the different options to edit tags:
If you want to rename of the tags selected, add the new name to the
Tag Name
field.
If you want to change the value of the tags selected, add the new value to the
tag Value
field.
After confirming the updates on the 'Tags to be updated' section, click
Update Tag(s)
.
To
erase
, select one or more values from the list by clicking the check box on the left side of the screen, next to the Tag Key, and click
Delete
, on the left side of the blue bar located on top of the list and then click
Delete
on the confirmation window that will appear.
Services section
The Services section allows you to view specific data on your assets to make more informed decisions and tag them in bulk with less manual intervention.
The tab displays a table with the following information on the Provider and Asset Accounts selected by the user:
Asset ID
Provider
Asset Account Name
Location
Asset Name
Asset type
Category
Status
Tags
Tag Assets in Remediate Service Provider Tags
To tag assets in bulk on the Services tab of the tagging feature dashboard, follow the steps below:
Select the provider from the
Provider
drop-down menu and the Asset from the
Asset account names
drop-down menu and click
Get assets
. The page will respond by displaying all the assets corresponding to the specific provider and the previously selected Asset Account name.
If you want to view one asset with specific characteristics based on Assed ID, Provider, Account account, Location, Asset name, Asset Type, Category, Status, or Tag, select the specific filtering criteria on the side of the search bar and then, type the details on the search bar.
Then, hit the Return button on your keyboard to display the Assets.
After selecting the Assets you want to edit, click
Tag Assets
to add the tag names and values desired. A new window will open with the following options available:
To add a tag key, add the desired key to the
Tag key
field.
To add a tag Value, add the desired value to the
Tag value
field.
Remember that an asset can be tagged with up to 20 tags, and assets with tags associated with tag keys will be skipped.
Click
Add tag(s)
to add the tags or
Cancel
to close the window.
Remediate Service Provider Tags in jobs
The Tagging Jobs feature displays the operations applied to the provider from the application as a job. It allows you to select and view specific information about the selected job, including the list of assets where the tagging operations of bulk tagging failed.
The utility displays the Job Id, end date, and status of the jobs generated from the
edit
and
erase
operations on the Provider Tags section and Services Section of the Bulk Tagging dashboard.
To access the feature, click on the
hamburger menu
located on the left side of your Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications Dashboard; go to the
CAM
drop-down menu, and then, under the
settings
section select
Tag Management
and click
Remediate Service Provider Tags
.
Click on any
Job ID
number to view the details of a Job ID, including the
