Roles in CAM

Learn how to grant appropriate access to users, enabling them to acquire the data they need when needed.
Application roles provide access to specific role-based functions within Kyndryl Modern Operations Applications using Role-based access Controls (RBAC). Roles enable the correct level of access as required.
The following roles are supported only when registering providers and users’ connections through IAM. The roles not mentioned are supported when onboarding through foundation.

  • CAM Asset Viewer
  • CAM Support Admin
The roles mentioned in the table are applicable to Platform, Essential, and Premium editions.

  • User belonging the
    CAM Supported Admin role
     can perform custom provider account onboarding only. These users do not have access to any other pages in the application.
  • Users belonging
    CAM Global Viewer Role
     can access the application pages without any administrative privileges. This will optimize unnecessary filtering and improve application performance.
The Cost Analyst, Cost Manager, Asset Analyst, Asset Manager, Cost Viewer, and Asset Viewer roles may be removed in the future, and their use is discouraged.
