Saved views

Learn how to filter data, save the displayed view and share that view, providing executive reports to personnel who don't have access to the service.

supports both
dashboard and system Saved Views
.
Dashboard Views persist data that has been filtered and sorted from all the data in the dashboard. With saved views you have the data presented as you desire without filtering; instead, you only click on the
saved view
option and find the dashboard saved.
System views are available for download. They can be used for executive reporting and shared with others who do not have access to the CAM dashboards. System Views continue to be generated even when all users have logged out of CAM and are available when users are logged in again. An audit log entry is created each time a view is run.
The Dashboard views are associated with you as the owner of the view, users with the
CAM_Admin role
can create and view all public and private views, while users with the
Team Asset Analyst, Team Asset Manager, Team Cost Analyst, or Team Cost Manager role
can only see all public views.
This page guides you on how to create and save a view and how to access each saved view, view the following sections:

Filtering and saving a specific dashboard Saved Views

You can save a dashboard view in any of the CAM dashboards, follow the steps to do this:
  1. On the dashboard filtering option, enter criteria by using filters to show a subset of the data to which you are entitled.
  2. Once you have selected all the filters on your dashboard, click
    Save View
    appearing at the beginning of the page on the right side of the graphs.
  3. When you click
    Save View
    , a window pops up confirming that you are saving the dashboard view with all the filters selected. On this window, you see:
    • Active dashboard view: Listing all the filters selected.
    • Saved view name: Add the name you want to give to the view.
    • Schedule emails with the report, you can select the option to schedule the dashboard view data to be sent to your email. You can select the schedule between daily, weekly, or monthly periods.
  4. Once you have filled in the information for the saved view, click
    Save
    .
  5. When the saved view is completed, this saved view can be found on the saved views table.

Scheduling saved views reports

Costs Dashboard gives you the option to schedule predetermined daily, weekly or monthly reports containing snapshots of cost management, cost optimization or tag compliance information to manage best your data and insights.

Creating a schedule report

To start creating schedule reports, follow the steps below:
  1. From your
    Dashboard
    using the filters, select the data you would like to view on your scheduled reports.
  2. At the upper right side of the screen click
    Save Views
    .
  3. Creating a saved view will capture all the active attribute selections for your view definition, including your data set, segmented costs, and filter selections.
  4. A new window opens with the details to set up an email schedule.
  5. The new window shows the
    Active Dashboard
    view which is the one you selected and the
    Saved View
    name which you must enter.
  6. Click
    Schedule an email for this report
    and select the frequency you desire the report to be emailed to you between daily, weekly or monthly.
  7. Select the
    Day of the week or Day of the month
    form the drop-down menu.
  8. Click
    Save
    .
  9. You will get an email on the dates previously selected with the scheduled report. On this email you can have links to see your current scheduled reports or cancel the reports.
    If you would not like to receive this data on your scheduled report, click Cancel and update the data from the filters section.

Editing scheduled reports

From your
Dashboard
using the filters, select the desired data you would like to view on your scheduled reports. The application responds by showing the data on the Cost over time graph.
  1. Click the
    Edit Schedule
    button at the top of the graph. A new window will open with the details to set up an email schedule.
  2. The new window will show the active dashboard view and the saved view name.
  3. If this is not the date you would like to receive on your scheduled report, click
    Cancel
    and update the data from the filters section.
  4. Select the frequency you desire the report to be emailed to you between daily, weekly or monthly.
  5. From the date boxes, select the start and finishing date you want to receive the report on your email and click
    Save
    .

Stopping Email Reports

To stop getting your automatic email reports, follow the steps below.
  1. From your
    Dashboard
    click the
    Edit Schedule
    button at the top of the Cost over time graph. A new window will open.
  2. The new window will show the schedule details of the report that is being set. Click the circle next to
    Stop emailing reports now
    to select it.
  3. Click
    Save
    .

Accessing saved views report

To access and find the view you saved for a specific dashboard, the
Main Menu
on your tenant, then click
CAM
, click
Settings
, and click
Saved Views
.
A window displays with a page listing all the saved views that you have created, this page contains two tabs:
  • Cost, asset, and tag saved views:
    Are all the saved views for each specific Costs, Assets, and Tags dashboard.
  • Insights and anomalies saved views:
    Are all the saved views for Insights and Anomalies dashboards.

Define your table view

  1. You can select the view of the table according to your needs by clicking the
    Column
    icon, on the right side of the table.
  2. A small window opens where you can select the columns to be displayed. You can also rearrange the order of the columns by dragging the column name up or down from the list.
  3. Click
    Select All
    to include all the columns or use the check box to select the ones that you want to include.
  4. Once you select the criteria, you can click
    Reset
    or
    Save
    at the bottom of the pop-up window, and the table automatically updates.
  5. At the end of the table, you can select the number of items that you want the table to display by clicking the drop-down chevron icon. You can select to have 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 100 items per page.
  6. If the total items per page does not show the total items on one page, you can also navigate to the next or previous pages by clicking the Left or Right arrows next to the items per page option.

Cost, asset, and tag saved views table

Cost, Asset, and Tag saved views define how data is displayed in cost, asset, and tag dashboards, respectively, for the selected Dynamic Resource Group (data set). This table has all the saved views you have created, the table show:
  • Name:
    The name given to the saved views.
  • Type
    : Indicated the type of dashboard in which the view was saved, for example Costs dashboard.
  • Owner
    : The person who created the saved views.
  • Sharing
    : Indicates that the view is private, so only the person who created it can access it.
  • Last Modified
    When was the last time you updated the saved views.

Insights and anomalies saved views table

Insights and Anomalies saved views define how data is displayed in insights and anomalies dashboards, respectively, for the selected Dynamic Resource Group (data set). This table provides the following information:
  • Name
    : The name given to the saved views.
  • Type
    : Indicated the type of dashboard in which the view was saved.
  • Owner
    : The person who created the saved views.
  • Sharing
    : Indicates that the view is private, so only the person who created it can access it.
  • Last Modified
    : When was the last time you updated the saved views.
To view the saved views, click anywhere on the row of the saved views you want to view. A window will display the saved view.
