Learn how to create an application that enables the automated configuration of tools you want to integrate with DevOps Intelligence for customers onboarded before 6 June 2024.
This procedure is intended for customers onboarded prior to 6 June 2024. For customers onboarded after 6 June 2024, please refer to the following document: Application configuration: recent customers
Applications
Common services used by many "applications" are likely to be grouped as applications like a "CORE" application or an IAM service. The granularity will likely vary.
The best statement is it would be whatever the customer feels qualifies as the granularity that fits their needs.
Perform the following procedure to give users Access to Applications:
- Go to the following menu selection:Settings & Utilities→Configure Technical services→Applications.
- Assign it a proper application name.
- Determine an Owner of the application.
- SelectCreate.
See your administrator to associate the application with the corresponding team/organization.
Associate applications
An application can be created as per needs implying a specific team is responsible for the applications mapped to that team, making it more accessible while viewing on the dashboards.
Perform the following procedure to give users Access to Applications:
- Go to the following menu selection:Settings & Utilities→Configure Technical services→Applications.
- Select theApplicationto configure.
- Select the number ofTechnical servicesfrom the table displayed on the tile from edit Technical services, this is where more than one service can be selected and mapped to applications.
- SelectConfigure.
- The changes will be visible under DevOps IntelligenceOverviewPage underApplications.
- Additional technical services can be added to the applications by going to the Associate Applications.
