Ascertain an at-a-glance End of Life and End of Service status for network devices and operating systems.
Kyndryl supports widgets that report End of Life (EOL) and End of Service (EOS) status summaries for network devices and operating systems using four widgets:
Hardware EOL Status Summary
Hardware EOS Status Summary
OS EOL Status Summary
OS EOS Status Summary
These widgets provide at-a-glance visibility of devices and operating systems approaching or at end of life or end of service. They display summarized counts and percentages for device operating systems with EOL/EOS reached, approaching EOL/EOS within 90 and 180 days, and those without an EOL date.
End of life (EOL) refers to the stage when a product is no longer manufactured, sold, or actively developed by the vendor. After the EOL date, vendors typically stop providing updates, or enhancements, and security updates. Devices past EOL may pose performance and compatibility, and security risks if not replaced or modernized.
End of support (EOS) refers to the point when a vendor stops providing software maintenance, security patches, or technical support for an operating system or firmware. Devices or systems past EOS may remain functional but become vulnerable to security threats and compliance issues without ongoing vendor updates.

Troubleshooting
Use the following guide to ensure your data is visible and correct:
If data is missing, confirm EOL metadata is included in the inventory service.
If EOL Date Not Available is unusually high, reconcile inventory records.
If the widget is not visible, confirm user permissions and page configuration.
