Introduction to Kyndryl Bridge services

Explore the management services Kyndryl Bridge has to offer.

Kyndryl Bridge enables access to the following management services:

  • Discovery Management: Discovery Management provides a comprehensive view of the latest discovery status information for each cloud provider within your accounts. Using it, you can access status details, including the date, duration, and total assets discovered for each cloud provider across your accounts. Users are automatically subscribed to Discovery Management as part of the default Core Services that Kyndryl Bridge provides for added value.
  • Discovered Data: The Inventory page displays information from your cloud providers across Kyndryl Bridge. The provided resources table and graph are customizable, allowing you to filter gathered data based on selected attributes. Any resource you select or filter in the chart section, will update the resources list view accordingly. Users are automatically subscribed to Discovered Data as part of the default Core Services that Kyndryl Bridge provides for added value.
  • Compliance and Security: This service enables the acquisition of deep visibility into your infrastructure and cloud consumption to help your organization become more efficient and curb shadow IT. Within that context, compliance and security represent significant concerns in terms of minimizing both the cost of compliance and non-compliance.

The service ensures that all assets are secure and compliant with government regulation and corporate policy, helping to avoid the very real but initially unapparent cost of non-compliant finance and resources. Further, non-compliance is also very costly in terms of fines and loss.

  • Console: Console delivers a One Experience platform for Kyndryl customers, providing a unified operational view that optimizes IT operations through real-time insights from multiple sources, controls, alerts, and reporting.

It enables you to manage business actions on requests initiated in the Bridge Services Catalog, including consultations, quotations and subscriptions, and also provides features for active subscriptions registered to your Console account. Business actions available include

  • Viewing requests
  • Editing requests
  • Canceling requests
  • Generating requests

These capabilities leverage specific aspects of an active subscription, depending on defined options. Console enables holistic view across services and environments without context switching.

  • Container Cluster Management: With this service, users gain insights into clusters in which their applications are deployed, with the ability to manage and execute operations through automated processes. Each component is implemented as a microservice and operates within a Kubernetes cluster.
  • DevOps Intelligence: Kyndryl DevOps Intelligence enables observability across the Software Development Lifecycle and gathers KPIs to measure quality across teams, products, and applications. A critical component in Day2 operations for DevSecOps provides a consolidated view of the end-to-end DevSecOps process including KPIs.

DevOps Intelligence brings the developer and operations teams together to work more cohesively, removing silos between them. This improved capability enables faster lead times, more frequent deployments, and quicker response times to critical defects and outages.

  • Topology: Topology provides a graphical representation of dependencies between the applications and infrastructure in a system, as well as optional impact analysis. This representation provides a clear view into how the system works, providing insight into dependencies among resources, allowing analysis of potential outage impacts and blast radius.

The service creates a Topology map using the following information:

  • Resources connected: How resources are connected through deployment and association data derived from the public cloud.
  • Affinity: How resources are connected based on communication. Affinity data is available for an extra fee. Affinity is based on how many times the resources communicated with each other in the last 30 days. This information is determined using public cloud network flow logs.
    • AIOps: Kyndryl AIOps combines Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with IT operations. It is part of the Kyndryl Platform and a key enabler for Advanced Delivery. Kyndryl AIOps aims to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of IT systems and infrastructure by automating tasks and providing real-time insights. It leverages data analysis, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and automation to proactively manage and optimize IT operations, which results in predictive forecasting with higher accuracy, faster decision-making, increased visibility, and faster root-cause analysis.
