Executive dashboard

View a summary of critical performance data impacting applications to assist in removing obstacles.
The Executive Dashboard, titled Executive Overview, contains the following elements that enable efficient navigation and effective oversight of Container Cluster Management:
  • Global filter
: Enables you to selectively narrow data sources to only those which are relevant.
  • Statistical data summary array
: Displays counts of resource categories such as Total Clusters, Total Nodes and Total Applications..
  • Time range filter
: Enables the selection of the time range for the data you want to see.
  • Critical performance data summaries
: Displays data that enables quick action.

Global filter

Container Cluster Management supports a data filter to enable the selection of data you want to display in the dashboard, Operational Insights and the Cluster Overview page. To filter displayed data, select the filter icon under the header. All graphic displays are adjusted to accommodate the filtering criteria.
The following filter categories are supported:
  • Providers
    : Implemented provider integrations
  • Connections
    : Individual, created connections
  • Applications
    : Individual, deployed applications
  • Environments
: All implemented environments, such as development, staging.
By default all data is displayed, and the
All
selection can be applied to any of the filter categories. Select one or more items from each filter category using the drop-down menu and click
Apply
to apply your filter selections or click
Cancel
to abort your selections.
When you apply your filter selections, the service displays the selected items in the filter field below the filter icon. You can dismiss any or all of the filter categories by clicking the
X
to the right of the category name; the service updates the dashboard accordingly.

Data summaries

The Executive Overview displays the following data summaries:
  • Statistical data array
    :
    • Total Clusters
    • Total Env (environments)
    • Total Nodes
    • Total Applications
    • Total Pods
    • Active Pods
    • Data Centers
  • CPU Utilization
: Total CPU use as a percentage of total capacity. The summary provides two additional metrics:
    • CPU Capacity as measured by the number of CPU cores.
    • CPU Used as measured by the number of cores in use.
  • Memory Utilization
: Total memory use as a percentage of total capacity. The summary provides two additional metrics:
    • Memory Capacity.
    • CPU Used.
  • Storage Utilization
: Total storage use as a percentage of total capacity. The summary provides two additional metrics:
    • Storage Capacity.
    • Storage Used.
  • High Storage Activity
: A table displaying a list of applications and their associated storage activities. The table provides data in the following categories:
    • Application
: The name of the application. The name is a navigation link to details for that application.
    • Read Operation
: The read activity in Mi/s.
    • Write Operation
      :The write activity in Mi/s
    • Environment
: The name of the environment hosting the named application.
    • Data Center
: The name of the data center.
  • Application Latency – Stateful Services
: A table displaying the number of affected applications.
  • Storage Placement by Application
: A table displaying metrics for the following categories:
    • Application
    • PVC Used
    • Environment
  • PVCLifecycle
: A table displaying metrics for the following categories:
    • PVCs Created
    • PVCs Deleted
    • Net Growth
  • Node Network Throughput
: A table displaying throughput data with the following details:
    • Node: Node name
    • Total Data
    • Ingress
    • Egress
    • Application
    • Environment
  • Cluster CPU, Memory, and Storage Usage
: A table displaying statistical data for selected resources. The table has a
    Settings
(gear) option from which you can select the following resources to display in the table:
    • Cluster: This is the cluster name in the Cluster CPU, Memory and Storage Usage table is a navigation link to details regarding that cluster.
    • Environment
    • CPU Capacity
    • CPU Used
    • CPU %
    • Memory Capacity
    • Memory Used
    • Memory %
