Bridge In App notification (Legacy)

Discover how to view notifications in one single place.
Consistent notification patterns are essential for seamless navigation on the Kyndryl Bridge platform. To significantly enhance the user experience, all existing AIOps, Bridge, and Services notification services have been integrated into a single, streamlined service within the Bridge platform. This unified system simplifies the notification process and provides a centralized hub for customers to manage all in-app notifications efficiently.
While the user interface has been merged to improve usability, the three notification systems still operate independently, and their underlying logic remains unchanged. All current notification services available in AIOps, Bridge, and Services are now streamlined into a standard notification details screen, ensuring a smooth user experience.
By consolidating these services, customers can easily access real-time alerts, updates, and relevant information from one conveniently located interface. This reduces complexity and increases the effectiveness of their interactions with the platform. The enhancement aims to create a more intuitive user experience, facilitating quicker decision-making and improved operational efficiency.
Only customers using a standard service or application can receive notifications, facilitated by Identity and Access Management (IAM) for authentication and authorization.

View notifications

The design features a bell icon and a detailed page, enhancing user navigation. The notification detail screen is designed to be intuitive and straightforward. It features three tabs or sections for efficient navigation.
  • The Bridge notification will contain the same notifications as those available today, such as quotations, support tickets, consultations, and subscriptions.
  • AIOPs notifications will contain the same notifications that are available in AIOps.
  • The service notification will contain notifications from standard services (core services provided by Kyndryl) and any other subscribed service (additional services users have opted to receive messages from) in Bridge. Services must adopt the In-App notification before messages can be displayed on this page.
There are two ways you can access notifications:
  • Access notifications from the bell icon
  • Access notifications from the side panel bell icon

Notification bell icon

You can access the notifications bell from any page in Kyndryl Bridge. The bell icon is in the top right corner of each page. Unread notifications are highlighted in teal and are organized into four tabs: All Unread, Bridge, AIOps, and Services.
Each notification includes a description, a criticality widget, and a title. A maximum of five notifications is displayed in the emerging window. To view all pending notifications, click the
See All Notifications
button at the bottom of the window.
Filtering notifications
Click the settings icon. An emergent window will appear. You can filter the notifications by read status (clear read or unread) and the number of messages displayed (5, 10, or 25). Once changes are made, click Apply.
How to mark as read
You will see the number of unread notifications next to the notification tab (AIOPS, Bridge, and Services). Unread messages are marked in teal. When you read a notification, the teal mark will disappear, indicating it has been read. To mark the notification as read:
  1. Go to the corresponding notification bell and click the overflow menu.
  2. Select
    Mark as read
option. For Bridge services, click the Go to ticket button to mark the message as read.

Notifications side panel

The way notifications appear in each tab will stay the same as it was for AIOPs, Bridge, and Services in general. You cannot change requests from this page, but you can view them and follow the links for more information.
