Bridge Notification Service offers numerous benefits that enhance user experience, improve communication, and boost overall productivity by helping users stay informed about important events. The Notification service enables platform services to send unified notifications to end users.

Notification roles and permissions
The following are the roles and permissions for accessing and managing notifications, including the ability to view, create, edit or disable notifications:
Platform Admin, Platform Operator and Platform Editor
: Have full access to notification capabilities. Can create, edit, delete, and manage notifications, configure recipients and control notification settings across the platform.
Platform Viewer
: Has view-only access (end-user experience). Can access and read relevant notifications, including acknowledging Priority notifications, and view both notification settings and actual notifications, but cannot make any changes.
Notification types
Intended for all users within an account and are typically used to communicate important updates, such as scheduled maintenance or planned downtime. They require users to acknowledge receipts, ensuring visibility and awareness of critical information.The following notification types are supported:
Priority notifications:
Priority Notifications: notifications are must-read messages that require users to acknowledge them.
Service-based notifications:
Service-based notifications are automatically generated notifications triggered by system events within Bridge services, providing real-time updates on workflows, operations and system activities. These notifications can be viewed through the notification bell icon or the notification details page, where users can access the full list of notifications. More details will be available soon.
Supported notification channels
Bridge notifications are delivered through the following supported channels, allowing users to stay informed based on their preferences and context:
In-app notifications:
In-app notifications are displayed directly within the platform to ensure timely visibility. Users can access them through the notification
bell icon
or from the notification’s details page.
Email:
Email notifications provide an alternative channel for receiving updates outside of the platform. These notifications ensure that users are informed even when they are not actively using the applications. Email notifications are delivered in outlook with configurable headers, content and recipient lists.
Notification recipients
Notifications can be targeted to different audiences depending on the intended scope and purpose, typically falling into the following categories:
User notifications:
User notifications are sent to specific
individuals
or
Access Groups
within an account. Notifications are relevant to a subset of users.
Administrators can assign recipients directly, ensuring that only the intended users receive the notification.
Account-level notifications:
Account-level notifications are broadcast to all users within a selected account. When configured at the account level, no individual user selection is required, as the notification is automatically delivered to all users within the scope.
Administrator-Configured notifications
The Administrator view provides a centralized interface for configuring and managing notifications within the platform. From the notification settings area, administrators can create and manage Priority notifications, configure recipients and control key attributes such as status, severity and duration. This view is restricted to users with administrative permissions and serves as the primary entry point for setting up the notification system, while end users consume notifications through the platform interface. Users with the appropriate Bridge roles can access notifications settings through the navigation path:

to open the Notifications Management page.
Priority notifications (In-app)
Priority notifications are visible across the platform once created. Active notifications are immediately displayed, while upcoming notifications are scheduled based on configured dates. Users are required to acknowledge these notifications to ensure critical information is received. For Priority notifications, users will see a pop-up prompting immediate awareness and acknowledgment.
The following attributes define the configuration of Priority notifications and control how they are displayed and managed:
Title:
The notification title (maximum 250 characters).
Severity:
Defines the importance level, indicating the urgency and impact of the information by categorizing it as
Warning,
Critical
, or
Info
.
Duration:
Define how long the message needs to be retained in the info message table, max 365 days allowed from the current date. These info messages would be auto removed after the end date.
Status:
Defines the state of the notification, indicating whether it is
Active, Upcoming, or Draft
.
Creating Priority notifications from scratch
Follow these steps to create a new priority notification:
Go to the
Notifications
page and select
Manage Notifications
in the top-right corner.
Select the
Priority Alerts
tab.
Click the
Create Priority Alert
button in the top-right corner.
Enter the required details (such as title, message content, severity, and duration) to define how and when the notification is delivered.
Click
Save for Later
or
Create
Once saved, users are redirected to the Priority notifications table, where the updated notification is displayed.
Manage Priority notifications
Manage notifications by updating or deleting them after creation. Based on their status and administrator role permissions, administrators can edit details, adjust settings, or remove notifications as needed.
Follow these steps to manage Priority notifications:
On the
Manage Notifications
page, find the notification you want to manage and review its status (for example, active, upcoming, or draft).
After identifying the notification, select the three-dot menu to access available actions. Choose
Edit
to update details or select
Delete
if it is no longer needed.
Click
Save
Note:
Selecting
Edit
opens a form similar to the creation form, allowing users to update details and save changes, while selecting
Delete
removes the notification from the table so it is no longer visible in the UI. After saving changes, users are redirected to the priority notifications table, where the updated notification is displayed
View and access Priority notifications (user view)
The notification pop-up appears on the right side of the Bridge Console. When a user selects
Read more,
a side panel opens with a quick view of recent notifications, highlighting unread messages and displaying priority notifications until acknowledged to help users quickly understand and act on important updates.
The following actions are available in the Notification pop-up:
Acknowledge
notifications using the available options to confirm or defer review:
Yes, I read it
confirms acknowledgment and removes the notification from view.
Close all notifications in the panel at once by selecting
Close All
