User onboarding

Learn how to onboard users to Kyndryl Bridge, including signing up, inviting users, and accessing the platform, whether for personal users or enterprise accounts.
There are two types of accounts:
  • Personal account: It belongs to an individual user who can only navigate the Marketplace catalog and schedule consultation requests. A user can only have one personal account, which is a unique ID associated to their business email address. Users can create their personal account directly in Kyndryl Bridge user interface; no email invitation is required.
  • Enterprise account: It belongs to a company or enterprise and is where all data is collected for that specific customer. A company can have multiple enterprise accounts and is entirely managed by them. At the same time, enterprise account Administrators can add users directly (or enable other users to send invitations) to a Kyndryl Bridge account from the Access Management page. All users can be associated to one or more enterprise accounts, so you can interact and see data for that respective company. There, you need to provide basic user information, such as an email address and the correspondent access group from the list. Invitees receive an email invitation, and by accepting it, they can login as a new user of that specific Kyndryl Bridge enterprise account. The new users are required to complete the registration process and multi factor authentication using their corporate email address.
Once the new user has been invited to the Enterprise account, it is required to grant them access to each of the applications that they need access to, as application’s permissions are managed in a separate area of the Kyndryl Bridge. For additional information, see Understanding IAM.

Accessing Kyndryl Bridge accounts

New users can either sign up with Kyndryl Bridge as “Individual User” or “User on an Enterprise Account”. When a user needs to just sign up as an individual user, they are creating a personal account. When a user needs to sign up for an enterprise account, this comes in the form of an email invitation from the specific enterprise account.

New user sign up

As a Kyndryl Bridge enterprise account user, you have been invited by the Account Administrator to become a member in your account. New account users receive an email invitation, and by accepting it, they can login as a new user of that specific Kyndryl Bridge enterprise account. The new users may be required to complete the registration process and multi factor authentication using their corporate email address. Users need a Kyndryl ID or their employers identity provider (IDP) needs to be federated with Kyndryl ID. This action needs to be performed if the new user has not been registered to the Kyndryl site previously.
For enterprise accounts: It is critical to ensure you have activated your user against the Kyndryl Bridge enterprise account(s). Make sure to access Kyndryl Bridge directly from the "Activate <customer name> account" link provided in your "Welcome to Kyndryl Bridge" email. Otherwise, if you access directly from the Kyndryl page, the enterprise account will not be properly linked and you will not be able to log in to your account.
If you have not been invited to be a part of an enterprise account, you can sign up with a personal account by visiting Kyndryl Bridge. Click
Sign up
on the top right corner of the page, and complete the information requested. The personal account sign up is specifically for accounts that do not have any enterprise account associated and only allow you to request consultations, create support tickets, and view the catalog.
  1. Once you receive the Kyndryl Bridge account invitation via email, click the accepting invite link. You will be redirected to Kyndryl Bridge. 
  2. Click the link for
    Sign up
  3. Add the following details:
    1. Corporate email 
    2. Password of your corporate email 
    3. Country (select from the dropdown list)
  4. (Optional) Check the box for consent.
    1. Email consent:  The first checkbox allows Kyndryl to inform you about services and offerings via email.
    2. Phone consent: The second checkbox allows Kyndryl to inform you about services and offerings via phone. If you check the box, the phone number field becomes mandatory.
  5. Click
    Sign Up
  6. A new page is displayed. Enter the password corresponding to the corporate email you added previously. 
  7. An email from Kyndryl is automatically sent to your email account. Go to your email account, look for this message, and click the "Activate Kyndryl ID" Account button. 
  8. You will be redirected to a Kyndryl page. Set the authentication method of your preference. If you would like to perform this action later, select the
    Set up Later
    button.
You will now be redirected to the
Kyndryl Bridge Home
page. 

Existing User Sign In

It is required to sign in every time you access the Kyndryl Bridge account.
  1. From the Kyndryl Bridge home page, go to the
    User profile
    icon menu at the top right corner.
  2. Select
    Log In
    .
  3. A new page is displayed. Add your corporate email account.
  4. Click
    Next
    .
  5. A new page is displayed. Add the password corresponding to the email account you added previously.
  6. Click
    Verify
    .
  7. Authenticate the account using the two-factor authentication of your preference.
You will now be redirected to the
Kyndryl Bridge Home
page.
