End of Life and End of Service widgets

Ascertain an at-a-glance End of Life and End of Service status for network devices and operating systems.
Kyndryl supports widgets that report End of Life (EOL) and End of Service (EOS) status summaries for network devices and operating systems using four widgets:
  • Hardware EOL Status Summary
  • Hardware EOS Status Summary
  • OS EOL Status Summary
  • OS EOS Status Summary
These widgets provide at-a-glance visibility of devices and operating systems approaching or at end of life or end of service. They display summarized counts and percentages for device operating systems with EOL/EOS reached, approaching EOL/EOS within 90 and 180 days, and those without an EOL date.
End of life (EOL) refers to the stage when a product is no longer manufactured, sold, or actively developed by the vendor. After the EOL date, vendors typically stop providing updates, or enhancements, and security updates. Devices past EOL may pose performance and compatibility, and security risks if not replaced or modernized.
End of support (EOS) refers to the point when a vendor stops providing software maintenance, security patches, or technical support for an operating system or firmware. Devices or systems past EOS may remain functional but become vulnerable to security threats and compliance issues without ongoing vendor updates.

link navigates to the consolidated EOL/EOS insights dashboard, pre-filtered to show network devices. There you can
  • Quickly view the size and urgency of devices requiring lifecycle action.
  • Identify security and compliance risks from unsupported or undocumented devices.
  • Access the consolidated dashboard with filters already set to network inventory.
  • Support managed services delivery by giving DPEs one-click access to prioritized device lists.
