configure an account view permission for to pull data from ibm cloud configure ibm cloud for access rights the account (key) should have view permission, and the account should have k8s clusters already created for that, we need to create a new key; it will be used to create and configure an account on to pull data from ibm cloud ibm cloud requires the creation of two keys api key classic infrastructure cloud key use the following procedure to create an api key log in to your ibm cloud account select the manage select the api keys → create an ibm cloud api key on the create api key dialog box, enter the key name and some description about where the key will be used and the purpose of creating the key click create your api key is created successfully please copy and save it in someplace safe use the following procedure to create a classic infrastructure cloud key navigate to manage → access ( ) → api keys and select classic infrastructure api keys click create a classic infrastructure key the api key is created copy or download the api key and save it in a safe place obtain the ibm cloud classic infrastructure username click manage → access ( ) → users select the user from the list the user details tab of the manage user page is displayed the classic infrastructure username value, which is a combination of a number emailid is listed under vpn password section to obtain an account id , go to manage → account → select account settings in the navigation menu on the left and note the id this id must be entered in the account number field in the connection's menu at this point, you have successfully configured ibm cloud to exchange data with the tenant once all configuration steps have been completed at a cloud provider level, you must configure the tenant to continue with the data exchange for the following items are prerequisite from the kyndryl platform landing page, select the main menu or the manage tile select admin and then, on the screen, select the connections tab from the left panel select the add new drop down menu select the add a connection select the technology category as cloud provider select ibm cloud enter the account number , classic infrastructure username , classic infrastructure api key and ibm cloud api key from the ibm account referred to in the previous section validate your credentials by selecting test connection once the connection is successful, select add to create a connection
