Service IDs

service ids are non human identities for apps, services, subscriptions, servers or automated processes they avoid using personal credentials and enable scoped, durable access for teams accessing the service ids page from the main menu , go to administration → → service ids role based permissions for service ids administrator or account owner can create, view, edit, lock or unlock, delete, assign to access groups, manage api keys and assign policies contributor and operator can view service ids and manage api keys cannot create, edit or delete service ids viewer can view only creating a service id to create a service id, see the following steps select add service id enter a unique name and optional description click add service id assigning an access policy to a service id to assign an access policy to a service id, see the following steps select the overflow menu next to the service id key that you want to edit click assign access select a service select the scope click assign
