Platform Administrators can create and manage **Priority Notifications** from the **Bridge Operations tenant Control Tower **to communicate important information across the organization. These tenant-level notifications can be displayed to users across all accounts and regions or targeted to specific audiences based on business needs. Priority Notifications require users to acknowledge the message before continuing, helping ensure critical announcements are seen and acted upon when necessary.

These notifications help keep users informed about critical platform updates, service disruptions, maintenance activities and other important events, reducing confusion and minimizing unnecessary support requests. Administrators can create, manage and target notifications across all accounts or specific accounts to ensure important information reaches the intended audience while avoiding notification fatigue.

Administrators can create notifications and update them as requirements change and delete them when they are no longer required.

# Key capabilities

Priority Notifications enable administrators to communicate critical platform information to users at the tenant level. The main capabilities are grouped into notification management and notification delivery with user acknowledgement.

**Notification management:** Capabilities related to creating, configuring, targeting and maintaining Priority notifications:

- Create Priority Notifications.
- Configure notification title, message, severity, duration and status.
- Publish notifications across all accounts or selected accounts.
- Filter and target notifications by region and account.
- Save notifications as:
- **Draft**: The notification has been created and saved but is not yet available to users.
- **Upcoming**: The notification has been configured and is scheduled to become visible at a future date or time.
- **Active**: The notification is currently displayed to the targeted audience and is available for user acknowledgement.
- Edit existing notifications.
- Delete notifications when they are no longer required.
- Notifications are automatically removed after their configured expiration date to help keep communications relevant and up to date.

**Notification delivery and user acknowledgement: **Capabilities related to how notifications are presented to users and how users interact with them.

- Display notifications across all accounts by default.
- Deliver notifications only to selected accounts when targeting is configured.
- Require users to acknowledge notifications.
- Keep unacknowledged notifications visible until acknowledged or expired.
- Maintain acknowledgement status for users across multiple accounts.
- Preserve read and unread status when users switch between accounts.

# Administrator configured notifications across tenants

Platform Administrators can create and manage notifications that are displayed across multiple accounts and regions within a tenant. These notifications help communicate important information to a broad audience, ensuring consistent visibility and awareness across the organization while allowing administrators to target specific accounts or regions when needed.

## Create Priority Notifications across tenants

When creating Priority Notifications, you can choose to display the notification **across all accounts and regions** or target it to **specific accounts and regions**. The notification audience is determined by the selections made in the **Region **and **Accounts **fields during the notification creation process.

This flexibility allows administrators to distribute important announcements broadly across the accounts or focus them on a specific account on business or operational requirements.

Follow these steps to set up a notification across accounts:

1. Sign in to **Kyndryl Bridge** and open the **Navigation Menu**.
2. Select **Control Tower**.
3. Navigate to **Notifications Management**.
4. The **Notifications Management** page opens, select **Priority Notifications** tab.
5. Click **+ Create Priority Notifications.**
6. Enter the following required information:

- **Notification Title**: Enter the title of the notification. The title can contain up to **250 characters**.
- **Message Content**: Enter a clear and detailed message describing the information, announcement or event that users must acknowledge. Maximum **1000 **characters.
- **Severity**: Select the notification severity level:
- **Critical**: Indicates urgent information that requires immediate attention.
- **Warning**: Highlights information that users should be aware of.
- **Info**: Provides general informational updates.
- **Start Date**: Specifies when the notification becomes active and visible to users.
- **End Date**: Specifies when the notification expires. Notifications can remain active for a maximum of **365 days**.
- **Account Selection (Optional)**: Select this option to display Priority Notifications to a specific set of accounts instead of all accounts. **By default**, notifications are displayed **across all accounts**; however, when account targeting is enabled, you must select more than one account.
- **Filter by Region**: Select one or more regions to narrow the list of available accounts and simplify account selection when configuring the notification of the audience. Only accounts associated with the selected regions are displayed.

Available region filters:

EU Shared = "eu"
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
CA Shared = "ca"

EU Restricted = "eu-r"
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
US Restricted = "us-r"
:::

To display the notification to all accounts across all regions, leave the region selection set to **All Regions**.

When individual regions are selected, the **All Regions** option is automatically cleared. The region filter displays a counter (for example, 3 Regions) indicating the number of selected regions.

- **Select Accounts**: Choose the accounts that should receive the notification.

7. Click **Create**, **Save Draft** or **Cancel**: Closes the page without saving changes. After selecting **Create**, a success message is displayed to confirm that the Priority Notification was created successfully.

### Considerations when selecting an account:

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
The account list is automatically filtered to show only accounts that belong to the selected regions. To display the notification across all accounts, leave the account selection set to **All Accounts**.
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
At least **two accounts** must be selected when creating a targeted account notification.
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
If additional accounts are added later by editing the notification, the notification is automatically displayed to users in the newly added accounts.
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
Only users within the selected accounts can view the configured Priority Notifications.
:::

:::Paragraph{listStyleType="circle" indent="2"}
The accounts selected when creating or editing a Priority Notifications are displayed in the **Accounts** column of the **Priority Notifications** table, allowing administrators to quickly identify the notification audience.

## Edit Priority Notifications across tenants

A Platform Administrator can update the accounts and regions associated with an existing Priority Notifications by accessing** Bridge Operations tenant (Control Tower).** This process allows administrators to modify the notification audience and save the changes to update the notification configuration.

Follow these steps to edit an existing notification:

1. From the **Notifications Management** page opens, select **Priority Notifications** tab.
2. Locate the notification you want to edit in the **Priority Notifications** table.
3. Select the **ellipsis menu (⋯)** for the notification and select **Edit**.
4. Update the required notification settings. Select **Update** to save your changes.
5. After the notification is successfully updated, a confirmation message is displayed and the Priority Notifications table is refreshed to reflect the updated notification details.

### Considerations for editing a Priority Notifications:

- When editing a notification, all existing notification settings are pre-populated with the current values.
- Existing region and account selections remain available and can be modified as needed.
- The selected audience can be expanded by adding additional regions or accounts.
- Status changes take effect according to the selected notification configuration.
- If the notification audience is configured for specific accounts, more than one account must remain selected. Otherwise, an error message is displayed.
- Notifications continue to follow their configured duration and are automatically removed after their expiration date.

## Delete Priority Notifications across tenants

Platform Administrators can delete a Priority Notifications that is no longer needed. Deleting a notification removes it from the **Priority Notifications** **table **and prevents it from being displayed to users across all associated accounts and regions. Because this action cannot be undone, review the notification details carefully before confirming the deletion.

Follow these steps to delete a notification:

1. From the **Notifications Management** page opens, select **Priority Notifications** tab.
2. Locate the notification you want to edit in the **Priority Notifications** table.
3. Select the **ellipsis menu (⋯)** for the notification and select **Delete.**
4. A confirmation message is displayed to prevent accidental deletion, review the notification details carefully before proceeding.
5. Select **Yes, delete it!** to permanently remove the notification or **No, keep it** to cancel the deletion and return to the Priority Notifications table.

After the notification is successfully Deleted, a confirmation message is displayed and the Priority Notifications table is refreshed to reflect the updated notification details.

Select **Read Now** to open the notification side panel, and then select **View All Priority Notifications** to access the **Priority Notifications** details page.

### Notification details page

2. In the left navigation menu, expand **Bridge** and select **Notifications**.
3. On the **Notifications** page, select the **Priority Notifications** **tab**.

## Notification behavior across accounts

When a Priority Notification is configured for multiple accounts, the following behavior applies:

- Priority Notifications are displayed in all accounts included in the notification audience, including Kyndryl Bridge Operations accounts when configured.
- Users see the same notification in every account that is part of the selected audience.
- Notifications maintain a single acknowledgment state for each user across all included accounts. Once a user acknowledges a notification in any included account, it remains acknowledged across all other included accounts, eliminating the need to acknowledge the same notification multiple times.
- If a notification has not been acknowledged, it remains unread and continues to appear when the user switches between included accounts.
- The notification continues to be displayed across all included accounts until the user acknowledges it.
