The Global Automation Catalog provides a centralized repository for Kyndryl-certified automation content that enables consistent reuse of approved automation solutions across multiple tenants and regions. Global automation content is created, managed, and governed centrally through the Bridge Operations account, while tenant-specific content continues to support customer-specific automation requirements within individual tenants.

Global and tenant-specific catalog content

Automation catalog content is categorized into two types:

Tenant-specific catalog content supports customer-specific operational requirements and is available only within the respective tenant.

Global catalog content contains standardized automation solutions that are certified, tested, and approved for reuse across multiple tenants and regions.

Examples of global catalog content include common automation tasks such as patch installation, antivirus deployment, and other standardized operational activities that can be reused across different customer environments.

Global catalog content is managed centrally through the Bridge Operations account.

Created and maintained by authorized Kyndryl teams.

Certified in accordance with Kyndryl processes before publication.

Published through the Global Automation Catalog.

Governed centrally to maintain content quality and consistency.

When creating a global catalog item, a certification confirmation checkbox must be selected. This acknowledgment confirms that the content complies with Kyndryl certification requirements and is required before the item can be created.

Access to the Global Automation Catalog is restricted to authorized users with the required permissions.

Users access the Global Automation Catalog through the Bridge Operations account. Only authorized users can create, manage, publish, or retire global catalog content.

Tenant users can view and activate published global catalog items in their local catalogs, but they cannot manage or modify global content from tenant accounts.

The Global Automation Catalog uses the same content creation and publishing workflow as the existing Orchestration Administration experience. Users can create catalog items, specify metadata such as name, description, type, and category, and manage content through the standard publication lifecycle.

New catalog items are initially created in a Draft state and must be published before becoming available to tenant accounts.

Global content is created and published from the Bridge Operations account.

After a catalog item is published, the content becomes available in tenant catalogs. Global content is identified as Global indicator, which distinguishes it from tenant-specific catalog items.

Executed using the same workflow as tenant-specific catalog items.
