supports widgets that report end of life (eol) and end of service (eos) status summaries for network devices and operating systems using four widgets hardware eol status summary hardware eos status summary os eol status summary os eos status summary these widgets provide at a glance visibility of devices and operating systems approaching or at end of life or end of service they display summarized counts and percentages for device operating systems with eol/eos reached, approaching eol/eos within 90 and 180 days, and those without an eol date end of life (eol) refers to the stage when a product is no longer manufactured, sold, or actively developed by the vendor after the eol date, vendors typically stop providing updates, or enhancements, and security updates devices past eol may pose performance and compatibility, and security risks if not replaced or modernized end of support (eos) refers to the point when a vendor stops providing software maintenance, security patches, or technical support for an operating system or firmware devices or systems past eos may remain functional but become vulnerable to security threats and compliance issues without ongoing vendor updates a view details link navigates to the consolidated eol/eos insights dashboard, pre filtered to show network devices there you can quickly view the size and urgency of devices requiring lifecycle action identify security and compliance risks from unsupported or undocumented devices access the consolidated dashboard with filters already set to network inventory support managed services delivery by giving dpes one click access to prioritized device lists supported vendors kyndryl supports all models from the following vendors for all eol and eos widgets cisco f5 checkpoint fortinet palo alto pre requisites the following items are prerequisite to view and add widgets access to ou access to in network inventory available in the inventory service, with vendor, model, and populated eol metadata eol/eos consolidated dashboard available with filtering for category = network you must have administrator privilege to add widgets to the landing page dashboard and to edit them configuration perform the following procedure to configure the landing page dashboard from the main menu , go to services → kyndryl services → confirm the network landing page includes the eol and eos widgets add or edit widgets through the dashboard designer place the widget at the primary grid size, then adjust for other screen sizes widget data mapping widgets indicate the following eol/eos reached devices where eol date is in the past eol/eos approaching < 90 days eol/eos approaching > 180 days eol/eos date not available missing lifecycle metadata eol and eos summary widgets access and use use the following procedure to access and exercise the eol and eos summary widgets from the main menu , go to services → kyndryl services → locate the eol widget showing lifecycle segments in a donut chart hover over chart segments to view counts and percentages click view details to navigate to the eol/eos insights page toggle between donut chart and list data (per widget) maximize individual widgets one at a time download data or graphic in the following formats csv png jpg eol and eos insights the eol/eos insights page is available from the view details link located at the bottom right of each widget the page contains the following sections flter matrix – filter data using fields such as customer name, lifecycle status, and device summary data array total devices (count) end of life (percentage of all devices) end of support (percentage of all devices) total devices reached eol or eos (count) eol and eos details eoes and eoeps details eol/eos and eoes/eoeps per category detailed view – device details table eol, eos eoes eoeps metrics graphics displaying percentages of eol/eos and eoes/eoeps data breakdowns as a percentage of total hardware and software troubleshooting use the following guide to ensure your data is visible and correct if data is missing, confirm eol metadata is included in the inventory service if eol date not available is unusually high, reconcile inventory records if the widget is not visible, confirm user permissions and page configuration
