overview the provides a consolidated view of resources found by discovery across connected environments use it to understand what was discovered, where it runs, how it is categorized, and when it was last detected to ensure proper functionality, connections and user configurations are required make sure to register at least one connection the data displayed in depends on the account credentials added on the connections page if these credentials have restricted permissions, may not be able to retrieve and display all data for information on required roles and permissions, see roles and permissions https //kyndryl sharepoint com/sites/identity and access management/sitepages/bridge iam unified user guide aspx#roles?or=word web body nt\&ct=1778257132547 this page contains different tabs such as, resources, event and health with graphs and data the page displays the most current data of the following cloud providers ibm cloud microsoft azure (csp, ea, application insights, mpa, subscription) google cloud aws alibaba cloud vmware vsphere demo cloud byod private container cluster accessing the discovered data page from the main menu , go to services → platform services → discovered data discovered data toggle menu the page displays different sections with the following information category data count it displays the number of resources for each of the categories discovered by default, this section is displayed, but you can click the chevron up arrow to hide the contents resource breakdown this chart shows a resource breakdown by provider you can hover over any of the bars to display the number of resources for that specific provider resources by region this map shows a resource classification by region you can use the zoom in and zoom out icons or drag the map with the pointer of your mouse to better visualize the resources listed you can hover over the circles displaying the count of resources to know in which country those resources are located use the reset icon to return the map to its default resources list table this list table displays all the resources available and presents very useful features that allow you to search, filter, and sort your provisioned resources by different categories discovered data page view key components on this page, you can find filter located at the beginning of the page click this option to filter results on the screen by registration information provider information resource category select ok to apply filters filtering helps you focus on a specific environment, audit scope, or investigation filter view resource categories resource categories are found at the beginning of the page; this view shows the count of discovered resources grouped by category compute networking storage database containers analytics developer tools and more use this information to understand resource distribution in your environment and to spot any unusual concentrations that may need review or optimization resource tab the resource tab focuses on the current inventory of discovered assets resource breakdown chart this chart compares discovered resource volume across cloud providers use it to understand multi cloud distribution, validate onboarding progress, and identify where to focus governance or cost review resources by region map this map summarizes where discovered resources are located geographically use it to support data residency reviews, regional capacity planning, and location based investigations resources inventory table the table provides record level details for each discovered resource; it gives details of id the asset id name name of the asset source the name of the provider category type of category the asset is part of (finance, governance, etc ) type type of asset (pricing, stack, lambda etc ) tags tag assigned to identify the asset discovered at time, zone and date in which the asset was discovered managed by indicates who manages it status indicates if the asset is active or inactive actions you can set the refresh option automatically managing resources as part of the inventory table functionality, you can manage assets, set managed by, export them, and view detailed information configure ‘set managed by’ follow the steps to add or update managed by for the selected resource(s) go to the resources table, select the check box of the asset you want to configure a new window displays, select who you want to manage the asset select ok the page refreshes with the selected information exporting resources data to export the asset information go to the resources table, select the check box of the asset you want to configure then select export resources located at the upper right of the table a window pops up confirming the export, select export and the file will be downloaded to your computer filtering resources from the list table the resources will be filtered by the id, name, resource category, and more by simply typing an attribute in the search bar located at the top of the table and hit enter you can also search the resources by clicking the chevron down arrow located at the top of the list table check the box next to the filter and click the chevron arrow again to modify the resource list column settings select the settings icon at the right of the table the table settings open check the box of the column names that you want to display the id and name columns are selected by default the following is the list of columns available for your to search your resources resource id the id number of the resource resource name the name of the resource resource status the status for the resource being provisioned source the resource provider hosting the application resource category the category of the resource resource type the type of the resource region the location from where the resource is provided tags the label used to tag the resource created at the location where location was created discovered at the location where location was discovered drag and drop the column names to sort the order in the table select apply select the close icon to go back to the table view filtering resources from the graph the resources breakdown graph can be filtered by provider or provider account or by actionable resources the values that you filter in this section affect the resources table and graphs click the toggle to filter by the actionable resources the page will only display resources with actions associated to it on both the graph and list view table to filter resources select the filter icon open the provider and provider account or resource category dropdown select the toggle to display the resources by account number , account name or category select the provider or specific resource by checking the box next to the item select apply filters otherwise, select cancel viewing resources details follow the steps to view resources details go to the id column of the table select the id of the asset a new window displays showing multiple tabs and information about the specific asset asset details shows all the cod details related to the gpd, resource metadata, custom data, custom tags, registration information, and location information service configuration provides all the information related to the source data, source extended data, and custom data click each section to view specific details tags shows all the tags associated to the asset you also have the option to export the table tags and download the report click the export tags widget for this action correlation information information related to the asset; not all the assets may have this information refresh log information about the refresh logs if there have been one executed, if not then there is not information available events tab this section displays activity and change signals of the resources on the table you can view resource id source resource name type category status affected services region start time last updated time description select the rows to navigate through the available events events tab view health tab this tab provides an overview of the resources health where you can view more details health tab view health bar chart on this chart, you have the filtering option to select the resources that you have, once you have selected the resource the chart shows the status of the resource or resources selects active, inactive, terminated, deleted hover over the colors to view details health bar chart health table (region wise) the health table provides a wide view of the resources you have per region on this table you can view source indicates the name of the provider gcp, aws, etc region the geographical region category which category the resource is associated to, storage, network, etc status the status of the source, active, terminated, etc
