create a new data collector to create a new data collector, follow these steps click the + icon a new window (a side drawer) pop up fill out all the required fields click save a popup is displayed briefly in the top right hand corner to confirm the action is complete the following screen appears run a data collector to run a data collector, follow these steps click play icon to initiate the discovery process the data collector status changes to running , indicating that the discovery job has started wait approximately 3 minutes for the process to complete once completed successfully, the data collector status changes to success success status confirms that the environment has been discovered successfully, and the project is ready for the next stage of configuration edit a data collector to modify an existing data collector see the following steps click the configure icon update the required fields click save to apply the changes delete a data collector to delete a data collector, see the following steps click the overflow (⋮) menu corresponding to the data collector click delete a confirmation dialog is displayed click delete to permanently remove the data collector or cancel to discard the action after successful deletion, the data collector is removed from the table
