the bulk configuration enables users to perform any repetitive task that requires input from the user efficiently through this process, the user can perform the scaled configuration effectively, minimizing the onboarding time the following features are currently supported bulk configuration of workloads bulk group creation bulk configuration of workloads bulk workload creation enables users to efficiently manage multiple workloads by uploading a csv file with the required data to create bulk workloads, users must first perform a discovery operation by providing the necessary input for data collection once the data is collected, resources are automatically discovered based on solution requirements after the resource collection, users can navigate to the bulk configure screen, select a blueprint, and download the discovered resources after downloading, users must validate all required input parameters all mandatory fields must be completed before uploading the template upon successful upload, workloads are created, and automations are imported prerequisites the data collection for the solution must succeed at least once all required parameters must either be included in the basic parameter set or marked as non mandatory to access the bulk configuration, navigate under setup & configuration and click bulk configure create a bulk workload review operation history the bulk configure screen displays an operation history section, showing previous bulk operations with details such as request id, operation type, created by, date & time, and status columns of operation history request id unique id to identify operations/tasks operation type types of supported operations that users perform created by user identification by email id date & time date and time of performed operations status status of the operations (in progress, success, failed, partial success) \<font color="#ffffff"> status \</font> \<font color="#ffffff"> description \</font> in progress execution in progress success all rows processed successfully partial success some rows processed successfully failed all rows failed, or a system error occurred actions (download) you can download the details of the performed operations to check the downloaded files are the resources associated with the selected blueprint, excluding those already configured as workloads the downloaded file is in csv format csv output details the downloaded csv file includes the following columns inventory id workload name basic properties from the blueprint properties configured during data collection that are required for workload creation notes inventory id and workload name are mandatory fields parameters marked as "required" true in the blueprint are listed as mandatory fields in the csv file these fields are indicated with an asterisk ( ) the csv file includes prefilled values for inventory id, workload name, and any parameters defined in the blueprint users can edit any field except inventory id the download resource is not applicable for the solution with multiple data movers click download resources > download resources to begin the process select a blueprint all resources associated with the selected blueprint, excluding resources already configured as workloads, are downloaded in a csv file update the csv file csv upload validation for bulk workload creation after the csv file is uploaded, the workload trigger api is invoked before workload creation begins, the system performs the following validations based on the blueprint once the csv file is processed, users can view or download the operation summary report the report includes the results and status for each row notes only files in csv format are accepted file size must not exceed the predefined limit (for example, 10 mb) mandatory columns are validated duplicate and empty rows are ignored users' actions on partial success or failure events of workload creation the event of partial success or failure appears in case of missing information, no entry, or wrong entry in the mandatory fields, and so on in these cases, check the result column of the downloaded report based on the captured issues in the result column, correct them and re upload the csv file for revalidation click create > create workload from csv to start a new bulk workload creation click start bulk operation to begin the process monitoring bulk workload creation operation the operation history section provides real time updates on bulk workload creation success operation completed successfully failed operation encountered an error known limitations for the bulk workload creation, after a workload is created, users cannot use this flow to edit or update its configuration update workload configuration in bulk this helps to efficiently update multiple managed workloads at once using a csv file download existing workload configurations, update the required fields offline, and upload the modified file to apply changes across workloads in a single operation each workload listed in the csv is validated individually to ensure only supported updates are applied, errors are clearly reported, and all actions are audited and logged for traceability only managed (deployed) workloads are supported, and reconfiguration is limited to basic parameters for these managed workloads download workload configuration navigate to bulk configure > download > download workloads select blueprint name > click download to export the workload configuration as a csv file update csv file open the downloaded csv file modify the parameter values that need to be updated save the updated csv file upload the updated csv upload the modified file using bulk configure > create > update workload configurations review the results navigate to operation history after the upload is complete from the actions column, download the summary file review the summary report the workload name column shows the name of the selected workload the results column shows the detailed outcome of each workload update the status column shows the overall execution status of the bulk operation verify the updated configuration navigate to setup & configuration > onboard select the project , then select the workload click the ellipsis next to the workload name and select reconfigure > proceed select reconfigure insights & automations and confirm that the updated parameter values are reflected re import workflows ( mandatory ) bulk configuration updates do not automatically re import workflows to apply the updated configuration values this action must be performed manually for configuration changes to take effect in workflows navigate to the setup & configuration > workloads select the group associated with the workload click the group name to open the sidebar navigate to the automation tab and click import confirm the import when prompted supported validations the following validations are applied during csv upload and processing to ensure safe and accurate updates invalid workload name ensures each workload name in the csv exists and is valid rows with invalid workload names are rejected empty csv file prevents upload of csv files that contain no data invalid csv format ensures the uploaded file follows the required csv structure and schema invalid or corrupted files are rejected non csv file upload only csv files are supported uploading files in other formats is not permitted mandatory field validation ensures all required fields are present and not left blank rows with missing mandatory values are flagged upgrade blueprint versions in bulk bulk upgrade allows users to view, track, and upgrade blueprint versions for multiple existing workloads in by updating them in bulk using a csv file upgrading a blueprint version enables workloads to use the latest automations, insights, and best practices delivered with the newer version, while also providing visibility into the current blueprint version applied to each workload and the availability of newer versions this feature is especially useful when a new blueprint version introduces new, modified, or removed parameters, or updated automations using bulk configure, users can upgrade already configured workloads to a newer blueprint version through a guided, version only upgrade process when a blueprint version is upgraded at the project level, any newly configured workloads automatically inherit the updated automations once a workload is upgraded to a newer blueprint version, downgrading the workload is not supported, ensuring consistency and stability across environments prerequisites before upgrading workloads, ensure the following a new blueprint version is available the project linked to the workloads is eligible for upgrade the recommended order is to first upgrade the project and then upgrade the blueprint versions upgrade the bulk of blueprint versions navigate to the project page check if a green upgrade indicator (green icon/button) is shown this indicates a newer blueprint version is available upgrade / update the project confirm the upgrade wait until the project upgrade completes successfully once completed, the project will include all new blueprint features and parameters navigate to bulk configure screen on the bulk configure screen\ select download > blueprint version upgrade template select a blueprint from the list all blueprint names are shown only workloads with newer available versions will be eligible a csv file is downloaded containing deployed blueprint version this section groups workloads by their currently deployed blueprint versions and lists the automations and versions in use, enabling users to compare existing deployments with the latest available versions before upgrading latest available blueprint version this section shows the most recent blueprint version available for upgrade, along with the automations and automation versions included in that blueprint, allowing users to understand the target state after upgrade workload upgrade details this section provides an overview of workloads eligible for upgrade, including the workload name, associated project, currently deployed blueprint version, and upgrade readiness, helping users quickly assess what can be upgraded open the downloaded csv file identify the workloads you want to upgrade it is not recommended to edit any of the information (workload name / current blueprint version / latest available blueprint version) users should only retain the workloads they want to upgrade and can delete the remaining ones be careful while editing, do not change column names, do not remove mandatory fields, and ensure version numbers are valid go back to the bulk configure screen upload the updated csv file using the upload blueprint version upgrade file option submit the upload confirm upgrade status after the upload, the system processes the file via backend apis a status message is shown success workloads are upgraded failure errors must be corrected and retried partial success some workloads succeed while others fail if the bulk page shows success, the workloads are 100% upgraded verify the upgraded workloads from the workload page only managed/deployed workloads appear clearly on this page navigate to the workload page locate the upgraded workloads verify the updated blueprint version parameter verification check the parameter list during onboarding confirm new or modified parameters are visible bulk group creation the bulk group creation enables users to create multiple logical groups over configured workloads, which are mapped to solutions all managed workloads for a solution are listed the groups have the group level configurations, and on creation, the appropriate recovery workflows are automatically imported and linked prerequisites for group creation in bulk, the workloads should be in a managed state for the solution create a bulk group initiate bulk group creation by downloading the csv file click download > workload group association to begin the process select either a group template or a group level blueprint update the csv file check the following section for more information related to the csv file csv file for the bulk group creation in the csv, only the groups that users want to create are mentioned the groups that have already been created through the ui or a previously attempted bulk group creation are not captured in the csv file there are two sections in the csv file the top and the bottom sections the top section associates workloads with groups workloads list of workloads kyndryl does not recommend editing this column blueprints list of blueprints using which the workloads were created kyndryl does not recommend editing this column tags tags associated with the workloads for example, app name, app id, primary site, remote site, and so on kyndryl does not recommend editing this column group name auto suggested group names based on the app id, tags these are not existing groups recovery order the default value is 1 kyndryl recommends putting a value within 1 to 5 the bottom section relates to the group attributes group name users have to manually enter the group name if it is not auto suggested group blueprint name auto suggested blueprint this is not editable this is auto suggested group attributes these are defined for each type of solution which are applicable for that specific group certain fields are mandatory these attributes are used during the automation execution process click create > create group to start a bulk group creation click start bulk operation to begin the process monitoring bulk group creation operation the operation history section provides real time updates on bulk group creation success operation completed successfully failed operation encountered an error known limitations the workload group association operation is
